A couple of recent walks have brought the joyous realisation that spring is nearly here. After a winter dominated by mild, wet, grey weather, the appearance of the sun, snowdrops, celandines, even daffodils, has caused much excitement, and I feel the surge of an imminent change in season well up inside me. Despite walks still wrapped in several layers and topped with a hat, scarf and mittens combo, new growth is all around, and I can’t wait for more evidence of spring to show itself.
